RESISTANCE IS FUTILE

Me on August 4:

We know how this will end: with some Fox host leading a series of made-for-TV megademonstrations against the Islamic center, with every Democratic candidate in America being forced to choose sides, with the blacklisting of anyone who works on the project (Bushie Dan Senor, according to today's New York Times, promises "to organize a campaign to persuade architects, contractors and donors to steer clear of the project.... [he] said that anybody who works with the center 'needs to know there is going to be a real stigma associated with this project'"), perhaps with a terrorist attack on the site. The righties have the momentum. They're going to win. Nothing any defender says now will change that.

We now know I was right about Prediction #2, and now it looks as if I was pretty close on Prediction #1:

An anti-mosque rally on 9/11

...a rally [will be] hosted by, among others, Pamela Geller ... on Sept. 11 this year, near the proposed mosque site.

The alert says that this is the list of confirmed speakers; 9/11 family members; former U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton; former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich; Dutch Parliamentarian and freedom fighter Geert Wilders; Gary Berntsen, a candidate for the U.S. Senate from New York; Jordan Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice, which has filed suit to stop the so-called ground zero mosque; Ginny Thomas, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas's wife; Michael Grimm, a candidate for Congress from New York's 13th district and a Sept. 11 first responder; and blogger Andrew Breitbart....

According to an update, Gingrich won't attend, and Breitbart and Bolton will send video statements, but Wilders is definitely going to show up.

This is a bit fringier than I imagined, but it's probably a dry run. If the project isn't canceled or moved soon, the next rally will be Beck and Palin and Hannity and all-day coverage live on Fox News, as close as possible to Election Day. Of course, Fox may sign on to this first one, too.

****

Oh, and as for Prediction #3, Fox is working hand in glove with a guy named Andy Sullivan (no, not that one), a construction worker/blogger who's getting a lot of exposure for his pledge not to work on the Cordoba House project:

Fox and Friends Exposure Helps 911 Pledge Go Nation-Wide

The good people at FOX News invited me to speak on the subject of our "911 Hard Hat Pledge". Well I certainly was not prepared for the reaction I got which was explosive! Tens of thousands of hits and comments on the Blue Collar Corner site. The comments that were left were extremely moving. Things like : I am not a blue collar worker but I run a paper plant in Iowa and all of us at the plant support you and all New Yorkers in your pledge. Civil servants from out of state who participated in the clean-up nearly a decade ago were elated to hear that there has been a movement started to appeal directly to the Imam and his group in hopes that it would not come to a Boycott across the country which is exactly where this is going....

The right isn't going to leave any weapon unused in order to win this war against the liberal Antichrist.
